Always look for a move to create weakness in your opponents pawn structure while preserving your own.

  • Find ways to give your opponents

    -Multiple pawn islands (groups of connected pawns)

    -Isolated pawns that can be captured later (singular pawns that are not connected)

    -Find ways to advance your own pawns giving space once your pieces are in good spots to support your pawn/s.
